Courage to Live On by Martin Q. Barcinas

About This Video

Martin says that “Living with AIDS is a daily struggle.” By the time Martin was diagnosed with HIV, it had already progressed to AIDS, but he is finding the “Courage to Live On” by sharing his story with others living with or affected by HIV.

What does this video tell us about stigma?
How can families support help people living with HIV? Martin’s family wants to keep his diagnosis a secret from his nieces and nephews, but he needs their support to help him stay healthy. Feeling loved and supported can help people stay on treatment.
